Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how Ihor Urbanskyi (“we”, “us”, or “our”) handles information in the Spy Game mobile application (the “App”) and on the Spy Game website (the “Website”).

The App is a local party game for friends and groups. Neither the App nor the Website requires users to create an account or sign in.

1. Information We Collect

We do not collect names, addresses, phone numbers, email addresses, or other personal contact information directly from users.

Player names entered in the App are stored locally on the user’s device and are not sent to our servers.

However, we use third-party services to help us understand app usage and improve app stability.

Analytics Data

We use Google Analytics for Firebase to understand how the App is used. This may include technical and usage information such as app version, device type, operating system version, screen views, session information, and gameplay-related interaction events.

This data helps us improve the App, fix problems, and understand which features are used most often. We do not use this data to directly identify individual users.

Website Analytics

Cloudflare Web Analytics

The Website uses Cloudflare Web Analytics for basic website traffic and performance measurement, including page traffic and web performance information. Cloudflare describes this Web Analytics service as cookieless: it does not use client-side cookies or localStorage to collect its usage metrics. We do not use Cloudflare Web Analytics to identify individual visitors.

Firebase / Google Analytics

The Website also uses optional Firebase Analytics, provided by Google. It is disabled until a visitor allows optional analytics. We use it to understand website interactions such as Store link clicks, FAQ interactions, language changes, and page usage.

Firebase Analytics may use browser or device analytics identifiers and browser storage mechanisms as part of its operation. We do not intentionally send names, email addresses, manually entered personal information, or user-provided text as custom website analytics parameters.

Crash Reporting Data

We use Firebase Crashlytics to receive crash reports when the App crashes or encounters technical issues. Crash reports may include technical information such as device model, operating system version, app version, crash logs, stack traces, and relevant application state at the time of the crash.

This information is used only to diagnose and fix bugs and improve app stability.

3. How We Use Information

Website visitors can allow or decline optional Firebase / Google Analytics. A visitor can change this choice later by using Analytics settings in the Website Footer.

If optional analytics is declined, Firebase Analytics is not initialized on later visits and is not enabled for future collection. If it was already loaded after an earlier consent choice, future collection is disabled. Cloudflare Web Analytics may still provide cookieless basic traffic and performance measurement independently of this optional Firebase Analytics choice.

Changing the consent choice stops future optional Firebase Analytics collection when analytics is turned off. It does not delete analytics data that may have been collected previously while consent was granted.

The Website contains links to Google Play and the Apple App Store. When a visitor follows those external links, the destination platform’s own privacy practices apply.

6. Local Data

The App may store game settings, player names, and gameplay state locally on the user’s device. This local data is not sent to our servers.

Users can remove this local data by deleting the App or clearing the App’s data where supported by the operating system.

The Website stores the visitor’s optional analytics consent choice in the browser’s localStorage. The stored record contains only a consent version, the granted or denied status, and the date and time when the choice was updated.

7. Data Retention and Deletion

Analytics and crash reporting data are retained by Google/Firebase according to their data retention settings and policies.

If you would like to request deletion of data associated with your use of the App or Website, you can contact us at the email address below. Please note that because the App and Website do not require user accounts, we may not always be able to identify data related to a specific user, browser, or device.

8. Children’s Privacy

The App and Website are intended for a general audience and are not directed specifically to children under the age of 13.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe that a child has provided personal information through the App, please contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete such information.

9. Permissions

The App may use internet access to send analytics and crash reports. The App may also use device vibration or haptic feedback for gameplay interactions where supported.

10. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated Last Updated date.
